Summer 2026 Plans Begin To Take Shape As Dreamcatcher Members Head To June
Dreamcatcher members head into summer 2026 with lots of activities planned and in progress to keep fans engaged and updated.
Summer months are often considered to be peak months for activity in the K-Pop industry. Between an increase in tours, events, festivals, and other opportunities to promote, there's prime real estate to do what's needed to get (or keep) your name out there, keep fans engaged, and otherwise do the things that keep your supporters from getting nervous about your future. This is, of course, especially true if you're a non-big 4 group, with far-from-certain assurances that activities are going to be a thing and that your careers continue.
This is obviously true for the members of Dreamcatcher, and especially considering we're just over a year into the post-exclusive contract era, where solo/subunit news is always welcome, and anxiety from some fans over the lack thereof is more prominent. Yet for the most part, I feel like Dreamcatcher is in decent shape, with everyone generating occasional-to-frequent content and work for themselves.
As we head towards the summer here in 2026, let's check out what Dreamcatcher's been up to!

I mentioned previously that fans tend to get a little antsy when it comes to not hearing from their favorite groups for a while, and it has definitely been feeling that way when it came to Dreamcatcher subunit UAU. In the fan circles that I travel, a rising level of worry has been bubbling upward as it's gotten closer to a year and some change since UAU's debut.
Fortunately, there was an event that would help alleviate fans' worries, in the form of Dreamcatcher Leader JiU's birthday. After the usual visits to promotional signs, banners, and fancafe, JiU took to YouTube for her birthday live to help soothe some of the nerves from the fandom. There've been some small signs that UAU is on the final road towards a comeback - small mentions on messaging service WithFans, a few short term Instagram stories from Performance Director Hwang Sooyeon that place her in the Dreamcatcher Company practice room while mentioning UAU, and more. But the YouTube Live, which featured JiU dodging any obvious spoilers like Neo in The Matrix, was the best confirmation that new music was coming from UAU. We'll have to see what's next, and I'm happy to hear about it, whatever that is.

There's been a lot of "what's next" curiosity for youngest member Seoyul ever since she signed with acting unit Hogiroun Company, and aside from a recent Betty Boop fashion photoshoot, we've yet to hear more about her acting prospects. Yet that doesn't mean that Seoyul isn't keeping busy. Aside from more pictures that appear to be from her earlier Japan trip, Seoyul's been dropping in YouTube content, with the latest being a video about some purchases she made while in Japan.
While this is seemingly standard fare for idols-turned-YouTubeers, I'm always interested in the care and attention paid to the visual look/health that they have to constantly keep up with. Acting, looking, and being your best for on-screen means still engaging in similar behavior for when one used to be an active idol, so none of this is unfamiliar territory for Seoyul. I'm looking forward to when she has her first acting engagement lined up, and to see how she puts that care for her visual to good use on a show or movie.

There is a show that's coming soon, but it's from Chinese-born Dreamcatcher member Handong, as her Instagram and other social media accounts announced her first Fan Concert, titled "Mirror of a Mid-summer Night", for June. Once again, signing with Modern Sky appears to be paying dividends for Handong, who is fresh off of a performance at the company's signature Strawberry Music Festival and who is getting right back to work on the summer concert circuit. In addition to the show, which is slated to be in Shanghai, there appears to be merchandise available for purchase as well.
Looking at all of this solo content and work that Handong is generating this year makes me feel like she's more than made up for when she was away from Dreamcatcher six years ago to hone her skills and do a reset at Chinese survival show Youth With You. Back then, after her elimination from the show, there was a small gap in Handong content for the most part, and even though her eventual return to Dreamcatcher was filled with plenty of fun moments, that gap was always present. It's been great to see her come into her own over the past year til now, and a solo fan concert is another checkbox for her on her growing indie artist career.
Siyeon, along with ChRocktikal, have been checking plenty of cities off of their inaugural tour through North America and Mexico lately, and have spent the month traveling the continent doing fun, small-scale shows for fans. I'm familiar with the Leo Presents promotion model, which creates more shows at lower cost per show for smaller artists when it comes to those from Korea.
This kind of approach, I think, is tailor-made for Siyeon, Wonseok, Junyoung, and Gwanwoo, who seem to be embracing the indie band and tour life in all of the shorts the official YouTube channel is putting out, and I'm reminded of the perspective I had as a live events worker back in the day as bands came through my city. I was never worried about Siyeon, who as we all know from her Dreamcatcher group days is a touring veteran, but it does seem that the rest of ChRocktikal has also settled in and is feeling more comfortable with performing and engaging with fans the longer the tour goes. Unfortunately, the dates and timing just haven't worked out for me to see them this time around and to provide my usual concert write-up, but I'll hope to catch them next time and enjoy what seems to be a great romp through their debut album sprinkled with a couple of Dreamcatcher cover surprises.

No doubt as we move into the summer months, we'll be seeing more news and happenings from the various members of Dreamcatcher, and as always I'll be here to provide those updates and keep fans up-to-date - for all of that and more, I'll see you here next time - and don't forget to tell your friends who are also interested in keeping up with Dreamcatcher (and getting some bonus content) to sign up on the site!
