Touring is in Dreamcatcher's blood, and as one of the most-traveled K-Pop groups of their generation, it seems like they've been just about everywhere at this point. Yet no matter how many tours they go on, I've always felt that every one they do brings with it a bunch of unique pictures, media, and memories, things that make for an unforgettable time for both Dreamcatcher and their fans.

2024 has been one of the more tour-and-travel heavy schedules for the group, with Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America on the list of destinations for Dreamcatcher. As November started this past week, it was time for North America, and New York City was more than happy to get things going. Here's all the latest news from that and more!

Generally when it comes to live concerts held in South Korea, we generally don't get to see official videos too quickly, but lately, network YouTube channels have been surprising me in a good way with some relatively fast uploads. This past week saw the 30th Dream Concert official performances get uploaded to SBS's THE K-POP channel, with Dreamcatcher's dual song set of "JUSTICE" and "Scream" making the list. As I said before, Dreamcatcher partially anchored this show due to their Dream Visual award, so having two really energetic songs, one being their latest, was a good decision.

I was also pretty stoked to see that KCON's official channel continued to drop in more performances from the event in September, including Dreamcatcher's cover of SEVENTEEN "Rock With You". I reported on this before, but it's good to have an officially uploaded version that will hopefully draw more eyes to the group as not only great live performers but ones that are able to pay homage to plenty of great songs and make them their own.

Over on the Dreamcatcher official channel, we saw Dreamcatcher Gahyun take another stab at food making with a chestnut tiramisu-making session. After having a few hilariously mixed results from making frozen yogurt during her last foray into making tasty trendy foodstuffs, it was nice to see Gahyun keep at it and make sure she gave her creation a try. As someone who has had to learn to cook and bake when having little prior experience, I feel like the only way you get better is to keep doing, and that's exactly what Gahyun did here, with good outcomes.

With all the rest of the news out of the way, let's get to the main event, the first concert of Dreamcatcher's 2024 World Tour through the US. New York City was the destination, and Dreamcatcher headed out late in the week armed with fresh new hair colors and excitement to go crossing the US for the next month.

One of the appeals of this tour for those traveling to the US is getting to hear Dreamcatcher's newest songs live, with all 7 members. Clad in white and taking the stage for the first of many shows throughout November, Dreamcatcher didn't disappoint in this regard. "JUSTICE", especially, is one of those songs that seems made for concert live vocals, a Dreamcatcher specialty since debut. But well-regarded favorite "BONVOYAGE", now equipped with an audience participation portion, was no slouch either.

Yet I think it's the slower, more heartfelt songs that might steal hearts this tour. I've personally been looking forward to hearing recent 2024 B-side "Fireflies" live for the first time, if for nothing else, to hear how the group's division into duos sounds live. If the first rendition of this song from the New York City show above is any indication, I don't think I'll be disappointed.

That's not to say that old favorites like 2017's "Wake Up" still don't have some fun left in them despite being performed a ton over the years. For walking-around songs like this one, there's plenty of opportunity to do a bit of improv to keep the energy high, as in the performance above. It's all a part of the live Dreamcatcher concert experience and they've no doubt become really excellent at it.

The setlist appeared to omit a couple of songs from September's Latin America tour (Summer Holiday's "Alldaylong" and VersuS: Villain's "Shatter") but add back "We Are Young". Here's the full list as far as I was able to confirm it:

  • OOTD (VersuS: VillainS, 2023)
  • Black or White (Dystopia: The Tree of Language, 2020)
  • 2 Rings (VersuS: VirtuouS, 2024)
  • BOCA (Dystopia: Lose Myself, 2020)
  • Propose (Apocalypse: From Us, 2023)
  • Rising (VersuS: VillainS, 2023)
  • Fairytale (Apocalypse: Follow Us, 2022)
  • Wake Up (Prequel, 2017)
  • Curse of the Spider (Metal Ver.) (Luck Inside 7 Doors, 2024)
  • Scream (Dystopia: The Tree of Language, 2020)
  • Deja Vu (Acapella ver.) (Raid of Dream, 2019)
  • Lullaby (Rock ver.) (Luck Inside 7 Doors, 2024)
  • Fireflies (VersuS: VirtuouS, 2024)
  • New Days (Dystopia: Road to Utopia, 2021)
  • Silent Night (Raid of Dream, 2019)
  • Stฮฆmp! (VersuS: VirtuouS, 2024)
  • JUSTICE (VersuS: VirtuouS, 2024)
  • BONVOYAGE (Apocalypse: From Us, 2023)
  • We Are Young (VersuS: VillainS, 2023)
  • REASON (REASON, 2023)

Yet for all those memories, the one that I think will be unique to this tour is a new benefit including 1:1 snapshots with the Dreamcatcher member(s) of your choice, and I have a feeling we're going to see many more pictures from excited fans who got to take a couple photos up close and personal with individual Dreamcatcher performers. The account from the ground, from what I heard, was that there were a couple of logistical hiccups, but the actual execution of the snapshots went fine for the most part. The result was unforgettable pictures for happy fans. If this holds up financially and logistically, I could see this being done for future tours, as the experience is one that I could see a bunch of fans not wanting to miss out on.

Dreamcatcher's tour is just getting started, and I've got a concert day report planned for later in the week, along with all the usual latest news and updates. For all that and more, I'll see you here soon, and next Sunday!
