Handong And Dami Continue Solo Promotions As Dreamcatcher Heads Into December
Handong and Dami continue their respective new music promotions and some of the rest of Dreamcatcher checks in with fans as the group ends November with plenty of content.
For some Dreamcatcher fans, myself included, it's taken a bit to adjust to the fact that one to two comebacks a year isn't part of the normal slate of scheduling. In the post-exclusive contract era, such activities happen during anniversaries or other milestones. The idea has certainly caused no small amount of worry in the fandom, and I kind of get it - uncertainty about when Dreamcatcher might do group activities again can cause a little bit of anxiety, especially given the track record of other, similar groups.
Yet as I said before, Dreamcatcher has made it a thing to be sustainable and successful despite odds being against them, and I'd include the norm of a lack of group activity among those hurdles to knock down. If anyone can do it, it's this group, especially as the members continue to appear in each other's content and even feature in the music that's produced.
That's why seeing consistent activity from the various members of Dreamcatcher, especially recently, is good to see, as seeing the group support individual endeavors is just one public way we're observing that they're continuing to stay in touch with and visit with one another. Here's what's been going on the past couple of weeks!

UAU's still been very much behind-the-scenes for a bit, but they did take the time to check in with fans over Weverse as they were eating. While they're still working on new music, it was fun to see some of the old school group livestream chaos of old, mostly involving food, trying to get Yoohyeon to do an acrostic poem, and generally being loud and funny. With the year winding down, we may not see any public UAU music content til 2026, but with their 2026 Season's Greetings package coming out along with the prospect of DCC-type holiday media, you never know.

We've seen little bits of activity from Gahyun the last month or so, as she has attended a few fashion and media events through connections and friends. Two of those friends, Jiyeon and Minhong, have also featured her in a couple of funny videos on Instagram as well, and have contributed a bit to her focus on short form video content. Aside from the obvious personal connection, both friends have ties to music production and fashion marketing respectively, which fall under places Gahyun has run as a member of Dreamcatcher for eight years. That info is sourced from their appearance on Netflix reality dating show "Better Late Than Single", so that's an interesting factoid given Gahyun's aspirations to acting. Either way, it's good to see Gahyun enjoying life as she seeks to take her next steps professionally.

Main Rapper Dami continues to run her own promotions for recently released single "Chequered Flag", and put together a fansign event online with frequent Dreamcatcher vendor partner Soundwave. Though the sent benefits only include photocards this time around, this event nevertheless reflects Dami's desire to meet and talk to fans of her work. and a fulfillment of a promise to do so.
A behind-the-scenes video for "Chequered Flag" also dropped on Dami's official YouTube channel and gave fans an insight into recording and shooting the small bits of video content for pre-release. I've always been impressed with groups and artists in general for this stuff just for the sheer work that goes into even the shortest of clips, and for Dami to handle a lot of this stuff independently makes it even moreso. The bonus of having Yoohyeon appear in this video for the recording portion is just the icing on the cake, and is again a reminder that the group's members have made it a point to keep being around each other when they can.
Last, but certainly not least, Handong is in full promotions mode for her 1st album "AtsnstA". The official news that she has indeed signed with one of the largest indie labels in China in Modern Sky explains the resources and media behind Handong's big push to get herself out there as a soloist. While fans like myself are still not familiar with the Chinese method of promotions, a lot of the things we've seen over the past couple weeks reflect familiar territory for K-Pop, including an MV reaction, behind-the-scenes content for title track "Gray Zone", dance practices, and a performance MV, all of which provided insight into the choreography and planning going into the release.
Fan-related content has also been through the roof, with multiple livestreams on Weibo and Soho, a radio show Q&A from Beijing, and a full showcase that had pictures, interviews, , and performances (including confirmation that "Peekaboo" and "The Best Thing" also had choreography), and social media-related giveaways. Combine that with dance challenges, like the one Handong did with Dami for "Peekaboo", and a metric ton of pictures on Handong's Instagram, Douyin, and Weibo accounts and Handong is firing on all cylinders getting her name out there. These are good signs for the future, and shows that the backing of a company can really matter - it's why Dami has been lobbying hard for an agency to sign her, and why Handong has a bevy of content that keeps her visible to Dreamcatcher fans and potentially, new fans locally.

The net result of all this is Dreamcatcher's various members continuing content into the last part of the year, with Handong carrying a lot of the content load including some of the fun cameo appearances from others like Dami and (more recently) K-Pop group Kep1er's Xiaoting, along with potential future appearances (Handong says Siyeon will be visiting again soon, for example). With more UAU music coming along with Siyeon's band, as well as promotions and content from Handong, Dami, and Gahyun, fans will have no shortage of things to take in through the end of this year and into the next. As always, you can count on me to report on the latest from the group's prolific content creation, so for all that and more, I'll see you here next time!
