Dreamcatcher Members Continue Curiously Teased Behind-The-Scenes Work As October Begins
As summer is close to ending and fall is quickly approaching, Dreamcatcher continues to keep busy, with some interesting updates on possible future content.

We've heard a lot from Dreamcatcher subunit UAU over the summer insofar as official updates and work, which is no surprise given the whirlwind of debut and tour over the summer. The other members of Dreamcatcher, meanwhile, have given us varying degrees of work and personal updates, and have done their best to keep in touch over social media, as my last article outlined. That trend, at least for some of them, continued into October, but we did get some interesting happenings around that time that fueled speculation about things to come. Let's take a look at the latest from the group!
On the Dreamcatcher UAU front, we've begun getting some of the inevitable behind-the-scenes stuff from the recent tour through North and South America. This is the first of this kind of content without the full group, but the charm of this stuff hasn't really worn off on me, even with that. There were higher quality clips from some of the best parts of UAU's ments, along with a lot of talk about good food and drinks, SuA celebrating her birthday with fans, and hearing that the group still keeps in touch through their personal group chat, having wished UAU luck on their tour. It's a nice bookend to a busy summer for the subunit, and it was of course nice to recognize the shots and clips from the tour stop that I attended, too.
Siyeon's birthday came and went, but not before she decided to drop in via Instagram live to say hello to fans. There have been a lot of vacation-type photos on Siyeon's social media, but that doesn't mean that she hasn't been hard at work in the studio - in fact she had a few updates on how her band preparation has been going. Though the album appears to have been fully recorded and she's passed it around to trusted family for a listen, there's a possibility it might be a bit delayed past this year due to all the things to consider, which is fine when you want to make sure you have a successful debut. Other than that, she informed fans she's got a few pictures she's been saving up for her birthday to post, and if they're anything like the others fans have gotten, they'll have that signature delightfully strange Siyeon charm.
Handong's been pretty consistent in her updates on RedNote and Weibo and seems to be working hard to establish her identity and brand back in China. But the most interesting thing about her happened near the end of the month, as eagle-eyed fans noticed her recent social media posts were coming from South Korea. Sure enough, a bit of content surfaced that placed her in a very familiar-looking practice room, which was all but confirmed when she teamed up with Dami for a short livestream on Instagram. Previous Handong-Dami livestreams have always been entertaining and even though this didn't last as long this was no different.
The most curious thing, however, was the indirect addressing of Handong being in South Korea, and both Dreamcatcher members were very coy in acknowledging but not providing any further detail. There's a lot that can be speculated, from whole group content to filming for group merchandise (like Season's Greetings) to new subunit news, but it seems we'll have to wait and see. If anything, this is at least a testament to the fact that Handong has the flexibility to come and go (and make appearances) as she wishes, which lifts thoughts of future seven-member work to come.

Dami seemed to make a connection with not just one fellow Dreamcatcher member but three, with a short informal get-together with Yoohyeon and an official schedule with youngest member Gahyun at the 2025 C. at Work Global Festa, an annual event celebrating Korean culture, fashion, and K-Pop. Both were dressed to the nines to attend the Super Lonely part of the festival, with a few fans catching some photo and video of them as they went by waving. Though a lot of Dami's work has been seemingly behind the curtain for most of the year, it's nice to see she's been picking up some appearances here and there as well.
Last but not least, and speaking of Gahyun, appearances in front of the camera continue to pop up for her, with what looked to be the second part of her guest appearance on Weki Meki Yoojung's YouTube channel along with Billlie's Moon Sua. This episode took the trio out to hotpot, as all of them talked about shared friendship and idol life experiences, and were of course delighted at the in-restaurant entertainment, including a surprise birthday celebration for Sua. There's talk of the three going on an outdoorsy trip in the future, so this may likely not be the last we see of this friend group just hanging out and having a good time Either way, as October inevitably heads into Fall and the latter part of the year, I'll be here for all the latest on everyone in Dreamcatcher, so for all that and more, I'll see you here next time!
