On an extended tour, sometimes it's a bit difficult to keep things fresh for fans who are following your progress through it. It's one of those times where K-Pop's tendency to repeat things (with mostly flawless execution each time due to hours of practice) might tend to be a negative, as you run the risk of being too "samey". You could argue that a significant portion of K-Pop concertgoers are seeing the show live for the first time, so the experience is still unique - but there's something to be said about doing something distinct at each place.

Dreamcatcher has never had this problem in the years that I've been following their multiple tours. There's always something that you can take a memory of from every show, and even with the same setlist and ment workflow there's always room for both improvisation and distinct feel. This past week was no different, as Dreamcatcher crossed back through the US (going east this time) through three more stops. Let's take a look at what happened with the tour and for everything else as Dreamcatcher rolled onward!

While Dreamcatcher has been tearing up tour stages, Leader JiU and Lead Vocal Yoohyeon made their OST debut with "Daisy", from the 6th part of the soundtrack to K-drama "Brewing Love". In contrast to all the hard rocking we've seen the group do on the live stage lately, this song is light and fanciful, a whimsical tune that suits some of the bright vocals both members have always had on display on occasion the last seven years.

It's not like we haven't heard these two team up before - after all, we're coming up on the holiday season and the four year anniversary of their "Angel of Me" Special Clip - but something hits different when it comes to doing a song that typifies part of the drama. "Brewing Love" is such a fun series, and the MV above that goes with it, even though it focuses in on secondary couple Bang Ah Reum and Oh Chan Hwi, is very representative of the "opposites attract" enjoyment and build that even occasional K-drama watchers like myself can appreciate. If you've like to indirectly support JiU and Yoohyeon's OST debut, I'd highly recommend heading over to Viki and checking out at least the first episode free when you signup.

Otherwise, here's some places outside of South Korean platforms where you can listen to the track:

The official YouTube channel is rolling behind the group's busy schedule in the latter part of the year, and we saw the Dream Concert Behind note drop this past week as a result. The group went on stage second-to-last due to their winning of an award, which meant there was plenty of downtime to film the group talking about new hair colors, how Gahyun could improve the rap portion of "Scream" by hamming it up, and generally, trying to avoid being too cold as they waited their turn to perform. I'd forgotten this was an outdoor stadium, and it can't have been easy trying to wait around in the chill autumn air to put on their set. Whether or not this might be the last Dream Concert remains to be seen, but just like the previous few times they've been on the show, Dreamcatcher did great.

Dreamcatcher's future plans post-tour are already taking shape, and their confirmed two-day Christmas concert series got a bit more info when purchases for both offline tickets and online stream access will take place. November 25th appears to be the day, and for those of you who are global fans, longtime partner MyMusicTaste has introduced different tiers depending on what you want to purchase. Whether you are only watching it Live, want the delayed VOD, or want it all, fans are set to make their choices in a day or so, so hopefully we'll see many of them take the plunge and spend part of their Christmas with Dreamcatcher.

Yet all the talk this past week was of course about Dreamcatcher's continuing tour, and in the spirit of making unique memories, Oakland got one even though it was very much unintended. During the group's performance of "Scream", the audio inexplicably cut out, leaving Dreamcatcher to finish the song acapella with the crowd's help, complete with singing the beat drops at the end. It wasn't just a testament to performance professionalism but also a fun moment for the show - and Oakland got to hear "Scream" twice as a result. Not too bad, I'd say.

The group's arrival in Houston, Texas was perhaps a promise fulfilled to return after the group's rather short one-hour set during their guest appearance at Anime Matsuri in 2022, and their full solo concert did not disappoint. 2019 B-side "Silent Night", with it's multiple beat drops and hype generation, has become a staple of Dreamcatcher concerts, and by Houston, it was clear they'd wanted to escalate that energy level with a bunch of fun moments encouraging individual member or subunits to do the beat drop dance. There was lots to unpack in Houston that I won't spoil, but if you want to see the full 21 minutes of it, you can click this link. Like many "Silent Night" moments throughout the tour, it was pretty unforgettable.

As for St. Petersburg in Florida, I've begun noticing that SuA's been taking the video camera from staff during songs like "Silent Night". The last time we saw any kind of regular filming during the tour, we got the "Fairytale" special clip, so one wonders if we'll see something similar for the concert version of "Silent Night". Regardless, SuA was more than happy to film not just her fellow Dreamcatcher members but also the crowd itself, which no doubt was an incentive for them to be even more loud and hyped up for the group's songs.

Only one stop remains for the tour, to be performed today in Atlanta, Georgia, and there's no doubt that Dreamcatcher and their fans will be going all-out to cap off the end of their month-long US tour. You can bet that I'll be reporting on that and all the other Dreamcatcher news and updates that could be dropping this week, so for all that, and more, I'll see you here next Sunday!
