Tour time for groups can be a marathon, with long hours of travel time, days that start early and end late, and a schedule that seems to stretch out into the distance with no end in sight. For K-Pop groups, this can be doubly exhausting due to the jet lag, need to rehearse and keep sharp choreography as well as singing, and the sorts of fan interaction benefits that are the core of the business model.

Yet Dreamcatcher, who are long since veterans of the tour life, has never been fazed by all that. Though like any normal group they might seem like they're feeling the schedule, I've never seen them bring less than 100% to a concert or performance. For their latest 10-date US tour in late 2024, that might get difficult at times, but they've been up to the challenge.

As Dreamcatcher continued westward across the US, they bought tons of energy to all their stops, so here's the latest on their activities in that vein and more!

Because tours are on the minds of many fans, it seemed appropriate for Dreamcatcher's official Naver post account to drop in some delayed photos from the last European tour earlier in the year. I'd forgotten that there were so many distinct looks and styles from this tour in particular, and being reminded of them was nice. It's tough to pick a favorite here, and it also is only the first part of many more Europe tour pictures to come. The delay in posting these pictures made some European Dreamcatcher fans I know jump only slightly as they thought another tour announcement was happening, but I'm sure they'll be back through the region sometime next year. Hopefully that will mean not that long of a wait for Europe's Dreamcatcher fan contingent.

Yet of course all eyes this past week were on Dreamcatcher in the US, as they continued to move westward across the country on tour. After Chicago, their next stop was Denver, and the Fillmore Auditorium, a venue familiar to the group since their Apocalypse: Save Us tour in 2022.

In seeing some of this setlist repeatedly over locations, there's logic to the construction. Putting a song like "2 Rings" near the beginning of the setlist, for example, highlights the group's newer music while also keeping up the rocker energy - it's a song with that kind of attitude and it makes sense that it's part of the opening bits to establish that energy level.

By that same vein, it makes total sense to put the fan-dedicated song "REASON" at the end. Far beyond it being the themed song of the 2023 tour, it's become what will likely be the encore song to close things out for tours to come. It gives fans one more opportunity for participation, has that last push of larger-than-life performance from Dreamcatcher, and there are those moments, as I think I mentioned before, that are memorable, like Dami really going all-in on the rap (I'm convinced by the end of the tour, everyone will join her in putting their hoods up and rocking out to the verse).

I'm always pleased to see brand new places get a chance to have a Dreamcatcher concert, and the Pacific Northwest finally got their chance when Dreamcatcher showed up in Seattle for the halfway point of the tour. This is doubly great when new cities get a chance at some of the latest music, such as the group's rock-rearrangement of 2019 B-side "The curse of the Spider". They've really turned this song in particular into a more aggressive, hypeworthy song in 2024, and all the ad-libbing and audience participation parts make it worth it.

This even extends into some of the newer tracks as well. We first heard Siyeon dropping in those vocal-flexing ad-libs to 2023's "BONVOYAGE" back during KCON Germany but dropping them in for the US tour has delighted fans to no end. Even seven years later, the casual vocal power I've seen Siyeon display in moments like these keeps impressing me.

But of course, part of the live concert Dreamcatcher experience is not limited to ad-libs of a vocal nature. Songs like b-side "Silent Night", which has now cemented itself as an essential part of Dreamcatcher's tour setlist, give members the opportunity to get even more hyped. Los Angeles saw SuA take full advantage of the fact that they have a stage cameraperson to swap to for portions of the concert. I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it above, but it was enough for JiU to joke about how Dreamcatcher Company's staff was reacting.

For all the funny moments, though, it was great to see Dreamcatcher chain songs together, as they did with "Propose" and "Rising", to keep energy levels high throughout the night. The group's return to Los Angeles added another venue, the Dolby Theatre, to their list of performance locations in the West Coast city, so songs like these hit just a bit harder in a larger venue.

Dreamcatcher is more than halfway through their US tour and will continue bringing joy and memories to fans as they turn around to head back across the country. As always, you can count on me to give you the highlights of that tour and everything else Dreamcatcher-related, so for all that, and more, I'll see you here next Sunday!
