As October comes to a close, peoples' thoughts inevitably turn to the holidays, what they might be doing for them, and all the planning that goes into making all of that happen. To an extent, even though artists likely plan things months in advance, I think this applies to the K-Pop industry as well.

As a boatload of artists make their comebacks in October, Dreamcatcher is no doubt gearing up for their upcoming tour through the US in November. Yet as we saw last week, we got a peek at some of what they have in store for fans for the end of the year and beyond. Let's take a look back at the latest from Dreamcatcher in late October 2024!

KCON Germany has come and gone, but the content keeps on dropping. We saw a Dreamcatcher's Note this past week on the event, and as always we were treated to a bunch of behind-the-scenes content and shenanigans. From Siyeon's continuing gaming sessions of Cookie Run, Yoohyeon stealing snacks from JiU until she paid attention to her, Gahyun being in charge of the KCON Germany manual camera-style behind-the-scenes shots, and more, it seemed like another fun time between performances and appearances for the group. I've said this before, but I'm hopeful KCON comes back here, as the audience was hyped up for Dreamcatcher (as well as all the other acts).

It's just about time for Season's Greetings for K-Pop groups, and the annual tradition of including merchandise themed around productivity for the new year is not lost on Dreamcatcher. For their third time around, Dreamcatcher looks to be embracing two relaxing concepts in two different ways, with Dream Farm (a rustic, rural setting) and Dream Holiday (a countryside getaway featuring a vacation house with an old-school vibe). I've always enjoyed the different concepts the group has tried over the years since Dreamcatcher started doing this, but I thought the Dream Holiday one, in particular, took me back to comforting early childhood memories of traveling from my urban home to places further out in nature.

Pre-orders opened on the 25th and the release date will be in mid-December, so if you're keen on supporting Dreamcatcher's work and getting some cool stuff for your New Year's plans at the same time, be sure to pick it up at your favorite K-Pop vendor.

Dreamcatcher's schedule has ramped up lately, and youngest member Gahyun took to Sunday Media's Trend Shopper on YouTube to talk about and endorse a few products she uses for legline care, makeup, and dieting. These sorts of paid promotion opportunities are a bit less common for a group in Dreamcatcher's tier of popularity, but I feel every one that comes their way is approached with excitement and professionalism.

I'd like to think that some of the individual content Gahyun has been dropping into the Dreamcatcher official YouTube channel has helped raise her visibility a bit (despite creating frozen yogurt that was an acquired taste), so be sure to give the videos a bump in views by checking them out.

The main indicator of Dreamcatcher's future plans, however, was revealed when Dreamcatcher Company officially announced that there would be a two-day Christmas concert affair for the group, with the 24th being offline only in Seoul and the 25th adding the global audience through online livestreaming.

In many ways, this was expected. For one thing, Dreamcatcher's aggressive touring schedule and other plans have meant that only one comeback this year was likely to happen, breaking a long-standing tradition of at least two every year since debut. The other factor was Dreamcatcher leader JiU repeatedly hinting at some kind of concert during the holiday season throughout 2024, and it seems she was sufficiently persuasive in getting the company to go with her idea. This is a first-time thing for the group, and it gives fans something to look forward to to close out the year. If the last two-day concert affair (2022 Apocalypse World Tour in Seoul) was anything to go on, we may also see something like special concert videos and bonus special stages along with Dreamcatcher's expansive discography.

Either way, given that my plans will have me up during the time this concert will be going on, I'm excited to see what Dreamcatcher will cook up. For now, it's off to what will be a quieter week as Dreamcatcher prepares to head to the US, so for all that, and more, I'll see you here next Sunday!
