**Before we get started, a quick logistical note for my e-mail subscribers. I totally hadn't realized that for the year-plus I've been on Ghost, video embeds probably wouldn't work in terms of showing you actual media and just showed you blank boxes - oops. From now on, e-mail subscribers will see linked images for videos, and the ability to play the associated video off-site if you wish. Those of you reading on the web, you'll see embeds as per usual. Twitter content will be posted as usual, but I'll make the same adjustments if needed if something isn't showing up.*

When Dreamcatcher was together as a group, I always looked forward to the annual occurrence of touring that they'd be on as far as activities went. Sure, these days it feels like you can't go a few minutes without tripping over a K-Pop touring announcement, but I feel like Dreamcatcher was part of a unique approach to doing those tours on a smaller scale and before (or in their case, instead of) establishing domestic popularity. Choosing to go to South America their debut year, spending time in both Latin America and Europe in 2018, and then expanding to North America and beyond in 2019 meant that Dreamcatcher was both achieving one of their pillar goals of being a touring group and also being a more accessible option in the face of large arena and stadium groups with high prices.

When the group's exclusive contract era ended in early 2025, the fear among fans was that the tours might go with it, but the subsequent months and year-plus have shown that is definitely not the case. Even apart in subunits, solo, and in band format, Dreamcatcher members have kept to the main group's touring tradition, even in spite of more challenges finding stable, smaller-scale promoters to work with (a factor in where they are able to go for sure). This Fall in 2026 is no different, as ChRocktikal took a brief foray through Europe before handing the touring baton to UAU for their 2026 Fancon tour in the US, all while Handong, still working hard to establish herself as a soloist, is doing her own trip through Southeast Asia. Here's what the group's been up to so far in October!

Siyeon had a nice, eventful homecoming after being in Europe for a bit as it was just in time for her to celebrate her October birthday, and the official Dreamcatcher YouTube channel fired up a livestream for her that featured fellow Dreamcatcher members Jiu, Dami, and Seoyul. It had been a while since we'd seen a mostly-Dreamcatcher livestream, and the hour and a half reminded me why I'd missed this level of interaction after everyone had been doing their own thing for a while. Being direct and funny with how things were different for Siyeon in a band versus being in a K-pop group (having to "act like an idol" instead of just burping loudly, for example) was one of the highlights of the livestream, but watching their old 2020 and 2021 content for updated reactions was just as entertaining. I know I've had similar reactions watching footage of myself from years ago, so it was a great choice in an already entertaining broadcast.

Handong's been doing most of her work this year making the kinds of appearances you'd expect from someone signed to a decently resourced company like Modern Sky. We've seen her be in variety shows, judge competitions, and perform at festivals, and having a solo concert series continues down that road. Handong's latest stop was at Taipei, and even though she's doing what she can to establish herself, she took time to do homage to her time with Dreamcatcher. "Trust Me" is probably one of my favorite Dreamcatcher ballad-style B-sides, so to hear Handong put that out there as a solo performance was really neat. We're probably due for new music from Handong soon, and from what we're hearing in her various livestreams she's hard at work in the studio, so we may see something sooner rather than later.

It had been a minute since we saw an honest-to-god Dreamcatcher Special Clip, and Yoohyeon delivered with a cover of classic 2000's era rock song "Complicated" by Avril Lavigne. I've always kind of felt that Yoohyeon has carried the Special Clip playlist over the years with Dreamcatcher, and this is just another addition to an already-impressive pile of covers. This [isn't the first time that we've heard Yoohyeon cover "Complicated"](https://youtu.be/Sg6XEOe99VM?ref=thelowkeygeek.com), but seeing it happen in full with an actual video to go with it was, of course, a treat - and I'll never say no to a rock cover from Dreamcatcher.

That said, it's not like Yoohyeon's fellow Dreamcatcher/UAU members have been idle either. JiU continues to build on her self-professed cooking novice channel, with two more videos involving Salmon and Mugwort Bagel and Duck Vietnamese Spring Rolls. In a world of K-Pop artist channels that tend to be more wide-ranging with the variety (like SuA, who we'll get to in a second), having something hyper-focused and refined is quite different and nice to see, as fans know JiU has a clear affinity for food and drink.

Personally, besides the fact that as I've mentioned before JiU isn't afraid to film and upload mistakes during cooking, I'm just impressed at the video quality. Yeah, you certainly want something that high-def when it comes to close ups of food and preparing it, but it's still great to see it in action. The cooking gear is impeccable and in good shape, the details are sharp and on more than one occasion have made me feel hungry, and of course if you're doing something you like, you'll probably enjoy it more. That's the vibe I get from JiU's cooking efforts, and their simplicity means that if I ever got curious about one of those dishes, I could probably make it myself, too.

Even though SuA casts her net pretty wide when it comes to her YouTube content, a lot of what makes the variety content entertaining is the content creator themselves, as well as what they choose to do. SuA's always been entertaining to me, and there's a reason why she's been in a lot of variety stuff over the years - she's energetic, sociable, has loud but not over-the-top reactions to things, and has always been funny. Having a color analysis done and also being honest about getting some answers she wasn't expecting was pretty entertaining, though it looks like color analysis has come a ways in the past few years - we saw [Seoyul do a color analysis as part of Dreamcatcher content](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-W2yOM3ARsg&ref=thelowkeygeek.com) a while back, and they didn't seem to have an app that sent the results, for example.

As fun as Dreamcatcher UAU have been apart, together they continue to do entertaining work as a group. Another video went out about them working together in a "company bonding retreat", continuing the mild role-playing/episodic series of them playing new company hires getting to know one another. Aside from the jokes and "drama" type reality-show conflicts, the meta stuff has also made me laugh - like when JiU's character indicated her role model was JiU from Dreamcatcher, only for both Yoohyeon and SuA to wonder who that was, or when SuA indicates in a "shocking" reveal that she's been married before to lots of partners, when those partners turned out to be Dreamcatcher's fandom, InSomnia.

I've sometimes wondered where the lines exist for the characters UAU is playing and for themselves as artists, but if I treat this content as a full-on k-dramedy, then I think it gets a little clearer. Either way, I find a bunch of the jokes funny (like JiU scoffing at the idea of staying at a company for ten years or even five when she's definitely been with Dreamcatcher Company that long) and I hope they play the characterization up even more for future videos.

Yet the main news from the past few weeks has been Dreamcatcher UAU launching their latest tour in the US, starting on the West Coast and heading down it for several shows. With Leo Presents as their promoter, a barrage of cities and small-to-medium venues are on the list, and the fashion and fun moments have been on point. Additionally, they've revamped the setlist with all their newest songs, a few more fun games, and even some small teases about potential tenth anniversary plans for Dreamcatcher as a whole. While I'm unfortunately unable to make the concerts this time around, I'll be sure to try to report on as many bits of news as I can for the group's continuing tour, and more from the other members of Dreamcatcher, so for all of that, I'll see you here next time!
