I produce more than just Dreamcatcher content - you can expect occasional but regular articles about games, K-Pop as a whole, and more!* One of the things that I think K-Pop fans fear when a group enters a post-exclusive contract era is the fact that they will never, or barely, keep in touch or get together again. It's a common fear that tends to spark all kinds of worry and speculation about the future as well as having to possibly deal with the idea that sometimes, like in real life, you don't feel as close to people you're used to seeing almost every day. This anxiety is only amplified if groups don't come from the big 4, where those who separate out might already have something going on or are, to a member, assured of future success. It's no surprise that we've seen some of this discourse about Dreamcatcher, too. Yet I think that their underdog success when together seems to have kept them close to one another and with some affection for the group's exclusive contract days, more so than other groups in their situation. There's the frequent images posted on the 13th, their debut day, the small appearances in each other's content, the mentions of their group chat, and occasional cameos on livestreams, and more. All signs point to a group still close to one another, even almost a year and a half after not everyone renewing contracts. Still, there's some reassurance to be had when you see an actual shot of them all together and seemingly happy, as what happened recently, and when you couple that with more Dreamcatcher member project content on the way, it can go a long way to both group and fans experiencing that bit of serotonin that comes from seeing that things appear to be going well. It's fairly common to see fan meetings for solo members that tend to be domestic or at least fairly local to South Korea, so seeing this being worked on, seemingly in conjunction with her company, is nice to see. We already knew that Handong was planning another fan meeting for her "Mirror of a Midsummer Night" series in Taipei, but it was nice to see a greeting and promotional video for it as well. The last was well-attended, and the hope is this one produces similar results for fans in Southeast Asia. In general, I don't think it's a surprise that multiple Dreamcatcher members have headed off to the solo fan meeting route. They're small enough in scope that they may require a little less logistical toil, they help with a little bit of revenue, and it's a nice way outside of new content releases to see them. And of course, for those that don't attend, there's plenty of generated media to consume. We're seeing SuA keep up with that media with her fellow UAU members and this time around it was the age-old famous "Balance Game" or "This or That" - though with SuA picking the questions, they definitely got a bit more direct and real for everyone's entertainment. Hearing Yoohyeon talk about having a stomach ache from spicy ramen before stage, JiU rightfully call a constant relationship cheater trash, and SuA trying to defend herself from the allegation that Yoohyeon's dog Pie is scared of her were all hilarious. The band announced their 1st mini album release for early December, titled "Bloom & Gloom", with two versions that are distinctly different from each other and [concept photos](https://x.com/CRTK%5Fofficial/status/2091812764402827698?ref=thelowkeygeek.com) to match. The Track List recently came out, with one b-side having a Spanish title ("*Β‘CORRE!*" meaning "run" or "hurry") and title track "*Requiem*". With so much variance in the debut full album, it's tough to tell what styles we'll see this time around, but anything that seems to promote a sense of duality may see some light and heavy music drop. While Dami and Seoyul were apparently late due to unforeseen circumstances and couldn't do this performance, it was still wonderful to [see and hear the majority of the group on stage](https://x.com/MSO%5Fdc/status/2093576371356496057?ref=thelowkeygeek.com), performing, and doing their tried-and-true Dreamcatcher introduction together. It also looked as if they had a small get-together afterwards, as the article's photo displays from Yoohyeon's Instagram, where there were likely to be discussions about times past and potential futures. I know that fans tend to cling to these small moments and make a lot more of them than might seem to be the case, and to be honest, this was mostly just a special occasion for someone who they consider to be in their extended family of close friends and co-workers. Yet that doesn't mean it isn't any less nice or enjoyable. As I said at the top of the article, seeing moments like these is heartening and reassuring, as is any reunion-ish get together. I know I've had a few in my own life, and they always feel like the best mix of nostalgia that, sometimes, leads to re-connections and future plans. Whether or not we will see something for milestones like Dreamcatcher's upcoming 10th anniversary or beyond remains to be seen, but I can't help but think there's a non-zero chance that group activities or the possibility of them were on the table. Either way, I think the best mentality to have is neither extreme optimism or cynicism - only that as fans, we should remember that we already got a solid run of memorable tracks, moments, and performances from a K-Pop group that had a lot of non-traditional challenges to get past. I'll look forward to the future, whatever that might bring or however it might turn out, and know that we'll always have what the group gave to the fandom over eight years of music together.
